Blogger Meetup Tweetup – Hanging out with bloggers

I’m at the Blogger Meetup.   Having fun hanging out with other local Eastside bloggers.  There are a bunch of people here that found the event through upcoming.yahoo.com, Twitter, local Redmond Chamber and Sammamish Chamber.  Steve Broback is talking about things like “what is a blog” and “driving the right traffic” to your blog.
If you’re interested in hanging out tonight, we’re here from 6-8pm.  Come on by right now!

Hey, thank you Peter for getting the news out on this. I’d have loved to go but didn’t know about it in time. Please tell me if you have any links to the knowledge gained. I’d have loved to meet some fellow bloggers.
I hope you write a post of the event. I may want to post your post. Thay would help drive traffic, huh?

    Peter –
I’d like to thank you for helping put on this presentation. I have seen several other presentations on social media and blogging but this was the best one by far. Steve and Jason did a great job showing really how simple it is to get started with a blog. I especially appreciated the detailed “how tos” from what domain company(s) to use, how to write posts, and how to find out what terminology is best used to get traffic. I learned a TON about Google and the tools they have to help make your blogging activity more successful.
All around, it was a great session – one that I would highly recommend to anyone who is interested in getting their feet wet with blogging.
Really appreciate the complimentary time from your associates.

    @ Bob,
About once a month we get together for various events. Some times it’s about blogging or about iPhone development. If you’d like to be notified by email I can add you to our newsletter distribution.
    @ Mary,
Thanks for attending last night. I enjoyed getting together with everyone. I think we’ll do a another event sometime next month and see where every is with their blogging and social networking. I definitely think using these tools makes a big difference in my business.

    Hi Peter,
Bob Yoder just brought this to my attention. I hope you had a successful meeting. Which Eastside blogs did you have lined up and what was your agenda? It sounds like an interesting event.
    Cheers,
    Rob

@Rob, we had a good time. The meetup was for anyone that has a blog or wants to learn more about blogging. It’s pretty causal and a way to learn more about cool things that you can do with a blog. I’ll keep you posted when we do another one of these events in case you want to come hang out.
    Peter
