We’re doing a half day WordPress Hackfest next week on December 28th. This isn’t going to be a “Sean-o-thon”, no big name speakers or WordPress Guru’s, just a bunch of entrepreneurs and startup folks looking to revamp their WordPress websites together in the comfort of thinkspace. Dress comfortable so you can get wired-in! We’ve got plenty of coffee, power, bandwidth (100 mb/s), and whiteboards. For me, I’m just looking to massage our thinkspace website which is 100% WordPress. I just need to get it cleaned up so it’s ready for 2012! Please register so we know how many people to expect…

Date: December 28, 2011
Time: 10am…

Game, Atomic Chimp, We have some absolutely amazing member companies inside thinkspace and, every once in a while, we like to brag about the awesome things they come up with – especially when it’s something that our members can actually use! Kick’n Chick’nz is a whimsical new game built for your iPad (and eventually your iPod or iPhone) by one of thinkspace’s newer member companies: Atomic Chimp Games! You may be wondering when you might use a game like this? Here are a couple examples that you can expound upon: 1. While waiting for the coffee to brew. 2. When you need a little mind-break from that proposal you’re writing. 3. When you feel like having a laugh. 4. Well, you get the idea… Built for those young, or even just young-at-heart, Kick’n Chick’nz features high quality graphics, an adorable premise, and fun game play that will have you addicted before you know it. The “karnival” includes four mini games within the game’s main storyline and additional mini games will be released shortly, so keep your eyes open for even more fun soon to come. Check out their website, twitter account and facebook profile for more information.

One Redmond Transition Meeting - Jeni Craswell Leading the Discussion

Right now the first meeting for One Redmond is underway! This marks a historic moment for the City of Redmond as the three organizations Realize Redmond, Redmond Chamber of Commerce, and Redmond Economic Development Alliance have named the transition teams to work operating as a single entity called One Redmond.

Why is this important? Tom Martin, of Evergreen Healthcare says it’s important because it “creates a common vision for Redmond and show that Redmond is a great place to live, work and play.”

The representatives for the transition team for Realize Redmond have appointed Board Chair Dan Angellar, General Manager of the Redmond Town Center Marriott, Vice-Chair Linda Benson, Vice President, Community Initiatives for Hopelink and former Redmond City Council member Nancy McCormick

The representatives for the transition team for Redmond Economic Development Association (REDA) and the Redmond Chamber of Commerce are Andrea Lachmann of PS Business Parks; Tom Martin of Evergreen Healthcare and Ryan Baumgartner of Cashman Consulting & Investments, LLC.

The representatives for the transition team for the City of Redmond are: Councilmember John Stilin, Erika Vandenbrand, Economic Development Manager for the City of Redmond, and Councilmember Pat Vache.
