thinkspace recently acquired the United States Green Building Council’s LEED (Leadership in Energy and Effeciency Design) Certification. LEED verifies environmental performance, occupant health and financial return. The certification of thinkspace was based on a number of green design and construction features that positively impact the project itself as well as the broader community. For three consecutive years, 2009, 2010 & 2011 thinkspace has won King County’s Best Workplace for Recycling and Waste Reduction Award. thinkspace earned these awards by participating a number of sustainable practices. thinkspace ensures that clients are quipped with recycle bins in their office upon moving in and we also provide much information on recycling and environmental events in the area. All of thinkspace’s kitchens are equipped with receptacles to recycle compostable food scraps, paper, plastic, glass and aluminum cans. All thinkspace members also have on-site access to recycling for batteries, ink toner & cartridges, wine corks, cell phones, CD’s, DVD’s and paper.
